The book interweaves historic Revolutionary War-era stories with Al’s own experiences while creating this Revolutionary War New Jersey website. For more information about the book click here.
I know of a historic site that is not listed on the website. Will you be adding more entries?
The 650 entries on this website were compiled, researched, and written over a seven-and-a-half-year period. Al strove to be as complete as possible in this collection, but recognized that there would always be some other historic sites that were not included.
Al completed work on this website in 2017. He is now focused on other history projects, and there are no plans at this time to add more entries.
Can you help me find out more information about my ancestor who took part in the Revolutionary War?
This website is not a genealogical resource or database.
The focus of this website is on historic locations. The information it contains about individual soldiers is usually limited to the role they played in a given historic location. In some cases, Revolutionary War soldiers’ gravesites are listed in entries about cemeteries, along with the information written on their grave markers.
Beyond the information in any of the entries and their accompanying source notes, no additional information can be provided.
Where can I find more information about the history of a historic site listed on this website?
If you are looking for more information about the history of any of the historic sites described on this website, please read through the Source Notes found on the bottom of every page. The sources used to research each of the entries can be found within those Source Notes. Here you can discover where to look for more information.
Where can I find information about visiting hours and admission pricing for the historic sites listed on this website?
Many of the historic sites listed on this website do not have specific visiting hours or admission, because they are visible at all times to the public. Examples of this include roadside markers, historic signs, statues, and public monuments.
In the instances where the historic sites do have specific visiting hours and charge admission, a link to that historic site’s website can be found near the top of the entry. Please see those websites for current information about visiting hours and admission.
Is this website affiliated with any of the historic sites listed?
This website is the work of researcher Al Frazza, who has no affiliation with any of the historic sites and organizations mentioned throughout this website.
Is Al planning any further projects regarding the Revolutionary War?
After completing the writing of State of Revolution: My Seven-and-a-Half-Year Journey Through Revolutionary War New Jersey, Al has moved on to a new area of historic research. He is currently doing research for a book about New Jersey in the mid-20th Century. He hopes to complete this book by 2025. At this time, he has no plans for further projects related to the Revolutionary War era.
Is Al available to help or collaborate with my history project or event?
